50th ANNIVERSARY – COMMUNITY LUNCHEON
Friday, May 2, 2025 | 11:30am – 1:00pm
Marriott Muehlebach Tower Ballroom
Event Chairs: Libby Henry & Helen Emmott
In 1975, MOCSA was born from a grassroots movement when a group of advocates in Kansas City saw a critical gap—survivors of sexual violence had nowhere to turn for support. No crisis lines, advocacy, trained counselors, or coordinated response.
Today, MOCSA’s services and impact have grown to ensure no survivor has to navigate the effects of trauma, criminal justice, and healing process alone. And MOCSA’s mission remains the same: to support survivors and prevent sexual violence.
Thank you for being part of this journey—because of you we are building a safer, stronger community.
Please join us to commemorate this milestone on May 2!
This year’s 50th Anniversary Luncheon promises to be an unforgettable event filled with inspiring live speakers, heartfelt performances, and stunning video tributes that reflect the incredible work MOCSA has done in the past five decades. We are excited to share MOCSA’s journey, celebrate the courage of survivors, and spotlight the community leaders who have made this work possible.
