Young at Art Cocktail Party & Auction

Each day, children and adults who have experienced one of life's most difficult traumas -sexual abuse and assault- receive counseling at MOCSA. Last year alone, MOCSA provided counseling to 511 victims of child sexual abuse and their parents, caregivers and siblings.

MOCSA's Play and Art Therapy Program provides a way for children to express their feelings and emotions in order to heal from the sexual abuse they have endured. Participating in art and play therapy helps children express themselves in ways they may not be capable of doing with their words. Through drawings, paintings and play therapy activities, children share their experience and work through their emotions regarding the abuse.

Your support of Young at Art helps ensure these critical services continue to be free of charge to all those in need, especially the youngest victims of abuse. Thank you for helping make this possible.

Look Back at 2016 Young at Art Cocktail Party and Auction

MOCSA's 12th annual Young at Art Cocktail Party and Auction was the most successful to date - THANK YOU! More than 500 guests enjoyed The Gallery in the Power and Light District as they bid on more than 100 silent and live auction items. Guests enjoyed wine and beer along with signature cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a live performance from 2 Proud 2 Beg. Proceeds from Young at Art benefit the thousands of area children and families who access MOCSA's free-of-charge counseling services every year. Debbie and Russ Welsh served as Honorary Chairs, and Ingrid VanBiber and Denise Portnoy served as Event Co-Chairs.
